
Lamaze Childbirth Education - Saturday (9AM-4PM)
This class is an one day class that covers labor and birth, postpartum, breathing and relaxation exercises. Lunch is NOT provided, however, we will take a 45 minute break for lunch pick-up or bring your own.
Class Description: Lamaze Childbirth Preparation Class
This comprehensive Lamaze Childbirth Preparation Class is designed to equip expectant parents with the knowledge and skills needed for a positive childbirth experience. Through evidence-based information, participants will explore the physiological processes of labor and birth, enabling them to make informed decisions.
Course Topics Include:
Understanding the stages of labor and birth
Techniques for recognizing the signs of labor
Pain management strategies, including breathing techniques, relaxation methods, and comfort measures
The role of the support partner during labor
Positions for labor and pushing to facilitate fetal descent
The importance of informed consent and making choices that align with personal values
Postpartum recovery and newborn care basics
Class Format: The class is structured over a single day session, providing opportunities for both discussion and hands-on practice. Participants will engage in interactive learning and group activities, fostering a supportive environment.
Target Audience: This class is ideal for first-time parents as well as those who are looking to refresh their knowledge in preparation for a subsequent birth. Partners and support persons are encouraged to attend to enhance their understanding and involvement.
Outcome: By the end of this class, participants will feel more confident in their ability to navigate the labor and birth process, equipped with practical tools, techniques and a deeper understanding of their role as informed parents.
